Announcement: The Winner of the Song Quest Cover Vote

On behalf of Catnip Books and the wonderful Katherine Roberts, I am delighted to announce the winning cover in the Song Quest public vote.
It was a hard fought contest. But the winner with 54% of the vote is....

I am delighted. This cover really fits the book in both tone and story. I do believe this public vote has been a success.

The amazingly talented designer Mandy Norman and illustrator Johanna Bansford both deserve a mention here and a round of applause. Without their work, there would have been no glorious designs to choose from. If you'd like to find out more about Mandy and check out her work, follow this LINK to her blog. If you'd also like to find out more about Johanna, please follow this LINK to her website.

Song Quest will be available with this all new look in February 2012. If you want to find out more about the book, read my review.

Also to find out more about the lovely Katherine Roberts, head over to her blog The Reclusive Muse.

Thanks to everyone who voted. I can't wait to see the finished product now. Exciting!

Am glad about this. It was much the easiest to read.

I am glad too. That is the one I would have chosen.

I agree. I liked this one best too.

It was my favourite, too! I liked the dramatic black one as well, but since I wrote this book and know the story (er, think I can just about remember it from 10 years ago...) I agree with Becky that this pale cover captures the mood of "Song Quest" better.

Many thanks to Becky for her campaign, and to Catnip for bringing out a brand new issue of my debut novel, which will always have a special place in this author's heart.

I found your blog whilst searching for Katherine Roberts books. Admittedly, I'm a bit behind the times, but I'm so glad to see that this book will be back in print! I read Song Quest and Spell Fall when I was a small thing and never finished the trilogy; Our small library never got the sequels. However, this is one book I've never forgotten. In fact, I just ordered the lot on Amazon. The new cover is gorgeous- but I'm impatient now! YA fiction has long been my guilty pleasure (along with slushies.) I look forward to reading through, and keeping up with your blog. :)
