2011 Aussie YA Challenge

This is me signing up for Nic's (Irresistible Reads) Aussie YA Challenge 2011.

I am signing up to this challenge because there are Australian books that I am desperate to read on my shelves and I want to make sure that by the end of 2011, I have read them. Why? Because I know I will love them and sometimes it is easy to get distracted by review copies.

I am an international entrant so I will be aiming to read 6 books.

So far I know I will be reading:
  1. The Dead of Night by John Marsden - REVIEW
  2. Becoming Bindy MacKenzie by Jaclyn Moriarty REVIEW
  3. Finding Cassie Crazy by Jaclyn Moriarty REVIEW
  4. TroubleTwisters by Garth Nix and Sean Williams REVIEW
  5. Pink by Lili Wilkinson
I'm hoping I'll find a new Aussie author to love too. Do my blog friends have any suggestions based upon their vast knowledge of my reading tastes?

Interested in signing up to the Aussie YA Challenge? Head HERE for more info!

You might like to look at Judith Clarke's book "The Winds of Heaven"

I'm not sure that I have vast knowledge of your reading tastes .. but Simmone Howell? Melina Marchetta?

I'm hoping to recieve Pink by Lili Wilkinson sometime this week, I've heard it's excellent.

Thanks for signing up for the challenge. You have some great books on your list already.

Some other great authors are Melina Marchettam, Cath Crowley, Fiona Wood, Shirley Marr.....the list could go on.

Can't wait to see what books you end up picking :)

Melina Marchetta, definitely. You need to read Saving Francesca.

Glad to hear you'll be doing this one too. :)
