Great List. I want to read all of them! Happy new year, too!
Fab! I love list like these.
Cool list! Haven't heard of ANY of these (embarrassing), but definitely will be on the lookout for them. :)
This is going to be so useful, I'm glad you did it! I think I've got another, and it sounds interesting... Waking Beauty by Julie Parrish, due out 31 March 2010. Sounds like a sort-of retelling of Sleeping Beauty, modern UK style. Yay!
Ahh, maybe this is just me, but I think it's so unique that your just sticking to the UK. If I just stick with Canadian Debut authors, I imagine it would be a hard find.
Nice list. I will have to check out these books on Goodreads to see which one I can add to my ever growing TBR list. Have fun with your challenge
Good luck in your challenge - I have so many already I think I will sit this one out :)
Lauren, you're right! Waking Beauty is a debut YA novel. I've added it to the list. It looks fab. What a great find.
Book Monster, I really think you should try finding debut Canadian authors just for an experiment even if you decide you don't want to read them. I'm kinda fascinated by this search now. With the help of my blogger friends, we have now found 12 novels. I hope the list keeps growing.
How fab would it be if each person doing The Story Siren's Challenge read just one book by a UK author!
Thanks for the suggestion, I would love to read a UK Debut Author. And thanks for the list I will probably choose one from your blog! Happy New Year :)
This is a great list, and I think it's wonderful that you're focusing on UK debuts. If I come across any more books that fit your remit, I'll definitely let you know. Meanwhile, I want to link to this fabulous post!
I hope you enjoy all the books. I'm really looking forward to reading your reviews!
Candy Gourlay is hilarious in person so I am sure her book must be great too. Enjoy!
Great list :o) I'll have to try & make an effort to read some of these UK debut authors this year
I have a rec for you; My So-Called Afterlife by Tamsyn Murray, released on 25th Feb from Piccadilly Press :)
So many awesome books . . . . . how will I keep up?! :P I've added 324 books to my to-read list. And here are more! :D
